Roam Introduces Token Output Difficulty Adjustment Mechanism with Automatic 1,000-Cycle Readjustments to Stabilize Token Price

Roam has officially announced the Token Output Difficulty Adjustment (TO-DA), taking effect from the 20,000th burning cycle. Emissions will be recalibrated every 1,000 cycles (about 11.6 days). The mechanism borrows from Bitcoin-style difficulty logic, linking output to network validation activity and establishing a hash rate benchmark for each window.

This approach aims to synchronize issuance with real activity and stabilize incentives. If validation is steady, emissions follow the original schedule. If market conditions reduce validation, output is reduced to ease selling pressure; as activity recovers and even exceeds prior highs, issuance increases to offset delays.

As a core facet of Roam’s price protection framework, the difficulty adjustment seeks to endure market cycles, preserve long-term incentive alignment, and foster a dynamic token economy that protects network builders.
