On November 27, COINOTAG reported that Flashbots researcher Shea Ketsdever introduced BuilderNet, a groundbreaking decentralized Ethereum block building network. Operating on a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE), BuilderNet aims to redistribute Maximum Extractable Value (MEV) among users, promoting a more equitable Ethereum ecosystem. This initiative seeks to counteract exclusive order flow arrangements, thereby improving the platform’s censorship resistance and facilitating the decentralization of Rollup and application layers.
The initial version of BuilderNet is being developed collaboratively by industry players such as Flashbots, Beaverbuild, and Nethermind. Looking ahead, BuilderNet plans to evolve into a comprehensive plug-and-play solution that will enhance decentralized sequencing for Layer 2 solutions via Rollup-Boost. This innovative approach not only furthers the decentralization of Ethereum but also empowers developers and users engaged in the rapidly growing DeFi landscape.
