On November 28th, COINOTAG reported that a former executive of Binance Holdings Ltd. has initiated legal proceedings against the cryptocurrency exchange in the UK. The lawsuit alleges that a colleague solicited bribes from clients to secure preferential treatment. Amrita Srivastava, the former executive, contended in a labor court that her dismissal was unjust after she voiced concerns regarding the alleged corrupt practices. She accused the colleague of levying fees disguised as “consulting services” aimed at accelerating the customer onboarding process while feigning independence from the firm. This implicated individual has since exited the company. In response, legal representatives for Binance acknowledged awareness of the situation but asserted that Srivastava’s termination stemmed from inadequate performance. Binance further clarified, stating that her dismissal was determined before her allegations were raised and that the matter was already under investigation by its internal audit team.
