Marc Zeller Proposes Bold Changes for Ethereum Foundation to Boost Aave and Ecosystem Vitality

In a recent statement on X, Marc Zeller, the founder of Aave Contribution and the Aave Chan Initiative, highlighted critical challenges facing the Ethereum Foundation. Zeller proposed significant measures to enhance operational efficacy and sustain the foundation’s viability within the blockchain space. Among his recommendations are the reinstatement of key leadership roles and the proposed dismissal of what he termed as non-essential personnel, specifically advocating for a reduction of approximately 80%. Additionally, Zeller suggested transitioning the remaining Ethereum (ETH) assets into a portfolio focused on market-tested Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs), emphasizing a strategic risk management approach. He also urged a drastic reduction in current subsidies by 95%, cautioning against initiatives deemed unproductive. Furthermore, Zeller proposed leveraging LSTs for borrowing stablecoins to optimize operational expenses. He concluded by recommending transferring the management of the X account to dedicated individuals to ensure daily updates that will bolster the Ethereum ecosystem’s visibility.
