COINOTAG news reported on Thursday evening, September 20, that a Texas court dismissed the lawsuit brought by Consensys against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and its Chairman, Gary Gensler. This lawsuit, which was initially filed in April, claimed that the SEC had begun an investigation into Ethereum and had issued a Wells notice to MetaMask’s parent company. The judge ruled that the enforcement action in question does not equate to a conclusive institutional move. He stated that the notice neither signifies the closure of the SEC’s decision-making process nor delineates the plaintiff’s legal rights or obligations.
