Bitcoin advocate Cathie Wood’s investment management firm, Ark Invest, is continuing to unload Coinbase shares by completing the second sale this week. Meanwhile, ARK Invest funds are still acquiring shares of Robinhood Markets (HOOD).
On November 29, Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest fund, Ark Fintech Innovation ETF (ARKF), sold nearly $5 million worth of 38,668 Coinbase shares, according to transactions seen by COINOTAG. This comes after the price of Coinbase shares increased by 65% in the last month, reaching a 52-week high.
The COIN share price closed 0.35% lower on Wednesday at $127.82. Recently, on November 27, Ark Fintech Innovation ETF (ARKF) sold 43,956 Coinbase shares worth $5 million. Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest funds sold a total of 52,224 shares in the previous sale on July 18.
Ark Invest’s Ark Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW) sold nearly $3 million worth of 94,624 GBTC shares on November 24.
Robinhood Stock is in Demand
Robinhood Markets continues to attract the attention of Ark Invest. On November 24, Ark Invest’s ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (ARKW) bought 93,297 HOOD shares. Cathie Wood’s Ark Fintech Innovation ETF (ARKF) made its largest purchase on November 29, acquiring 221,759 HOOD shares.
This move coincided with Robinhood bringing its commission-free stock trading to the UK and offering this innovation to British investors. The HOOD stock closed at $8.92 on Wednesday, with shares rising 3% in pre-market hours.
