According to a report by COINOTAG, on September 28, industry insider 0xAA, the founder of WTF Academy, shared insights on social media that revealed a concerning trend observed in March. The analysis indicated that approximately 70% of phishing attacks target Restaking ETH operations. 0xAA highlighted the vulnerabilities, stating, “During the conversion from ETH to xxxETH, hackers can exploit the process, needing only one signature to divert assets.” Today, COINOTAG also reported a major security breach involving a prominent whale address, resulting in the theft of over 12,000 spWETH, valued at roughly 32.43 million US dollars. This event underscores the critical need for robust security measures in the cryptocurrency space.
