Amundi Introduces First Tokenized Share Class for Euro Money Market Fund on Ethereum Network
Industry outlets report that Amundi has debuted its inaugural tokenised share class for a Euro-denominated money market fund. The launch introduces a hybrid architecture, allowing investors to choose between the legacy share class and a blockchain-enabled option, expanding liquidity channels and digital asset accessibility.
Concretely, the first transaction was settled on the Ethereum network on November 4, underscoring tangible blockchain integration in money market instruments. The hybrid structure preserves traditional operations while enabling around-the-clock trading and faster settlement.
Amundi’s tokenization initiative was developed in partnership with CACEIS, which supplied the tokenization framework, investor wallets, and a digital order management system for subscriptions and redemptions. The collaboration aims to streamline order processing, broaden investor access, and support continuous market participation.
