BitcoinOS Lands $10M Funding Round to Turn Bitcoin Into a Programmable Base Layer with ZK on the Mainnet

According to CoinDesk, BitcoinOS (BOS) has closed a USD 10 million funding round led by Greenfield Capital, with participants from FalconX, DNA Fund, and the Bitcoin Frontier Fund, alongside angel investors such as Anchorage Digital’s Nathan McCauley and Spartan Group’s Leeor Groen.

BOS is pursuing a vision to render Bitcoin a programmable base layer for the digital economy, delivering on‑chain programmability while preserving the integrity of the original protocol.

Earlier this year, BOS demonstrated the first Zero-Knowledge proof on the Bitcoin mainnet, a milestone that unlocks programmable capabilities without altering the core network.

The new capital will support ongoing development, security audits, and ecosystem partnerships to advance BitcoinOS’s roadmap, with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and interoperability within crypto‑native financial rails.
