On July 16, Bitlayer, a pioneering project in the Bitcoin DeFi infrastructure space, unveiled its summer conference video, spotlighting significant technological advancements. The event, titled “The Ultimate Bitcoin DeFi Infrastructure,” featured co-founders Kevin He and Charlie Hu outlining Bitlayer’s strategic roadmap aimed at establishing a robust BTCFi ecosystem. Key highlights include the launch of the BitVM Bridge mainnet Beta, the first Bitcoin cross-chain solution leveraging the BitVM paradigm, following extensive testing phases.

Additionally, Bitlayer released its Network 2.0 Whitepaper, signaling a critical transition into the Rollup architecture phase, which is expected to enhance scalability and security. The upcoming Bitlayer Network V3 is engineered to tackle high-performance execution challenges on Bitcoin’s Layer 2, featuring a customizable native transaction engine, horizontally scalable cluster architecture, and an EVM-compatible parallel execution engine. These innovations aim to deliver a seamless user experience comparable to centralized exchanges, reinforcing Bitlayer’s commitment to advancing Bitcoin DeFi infrastructure.
