CFTC Launches Crypto Sprint to Fast‑Track Bitcoin Spot Listings, Solicits Public Feedback on Leverage and Retail Trading

CFTC Acting Chairman Caroline D. Pham announced a new round of the Crypto Sprint to operationalize recommendations from the President’s Working Group and related reports, advancing federal priorities for digital asset trading oversight and aligning with the SEC’s Project Crypto initiative.

The agency said it will solicit public feedback to inform rule-making on leverage, margin, and retail trading practices, and has invited industry participants to submit comments on the “Enhancing U.S. Leadership in Digital Financial Technologies” report to shape practical policy outcomes.

Market participants and compliance teams are encouraged to engage with the comment process as the CFTC refines its approach to spot cryptocurrency trading infrastructure, prioritizing transparent implementation and regulatory clarity rather than speculative forecasts.
