On May 5th, COINOTAG reported that Chainlink is initiating a groundbreaking community reward program aimed at fostering greater participation within its ecosystem. This initiative, dubbed Chainlink Rewards, marks a strategic collaboration with the decentralized data platform Space and Time (SXT), which will oversee the initial distribution of rewards. Notably, Space and Time has allocated a substantial 4% of its total SXT token supply—equating to 2 billion tokens—to incentivize eligible node operators and community members who bolster network security.

The program’s first wave will allocate 1 billion SXT tokens, available for claiming starting May 8th, specifically targeting both historical and current LINK stakers. As this initiative unfolds, it is anticipated that the Chainlink Rewards program will broaden to include more Build partners in subsequent reward cycles. While each project will outline its own token distribution strategy, the overarching objective remains to cultivate innovative incentive structures for users, encouraging increased staking of LINK and heightened involvement within the Chainlink network.
