China and Singapore Sign Memorandum to Co-Build Digital Land-Sea New Channel, Advancing Digital Interconnection, AI, Blockchain, and Smart City Innovation
COINOTAG News reports, citing ChainNews, that China’s National Bureau of Statistics, Chongqing’s Municipal Government, and Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding to co-build the Digital Land-Sea New Channel. The agreement aims to deepen China–Singapore cooperation on this strategic interconnection project and drive digital transformation for a future-ready smart economic corridor.
Under the accord, the parties will pursue digital interconnection within a shared rules framework, advancing cross-border data security and orderly data flows through interoperable digital infrastructure, with the objective of a streamlined, secure, and efficient digital channel.
Progress will hinge on digital technology and innovation, supporting joint R&D and deployment in AI, blockchain, big data, and sharing smart city experiences.
