According to Reuters, Coinbase appointed George Osborne, the former UK Chancellor of the Exchequer, as chairman of its internal advisory board to support international expansion in the crypto space.

Osborne served as UK Chancellor of the Exchequer from 2010 to 2016 and now holds multiple roles, including Chairman of the British Museum and Partner at Robey Warshaw LLP.

This appointment signals Coinbase’s strategy to leverage policy expertise and governance experience as it navigates evolving regulatory frameworks for digital assets on a global scale.
