The guidance advises that users of affected wallets should immediately disconnect devices from the internet and perform an offline export of the mnemonic phrase before transferring assets. Leaving the wallet online during an upgrade could expose funds to compromise.

For wallets with a mnemonic backup already in place, the recommended sequence is to move assets to a secure, offline destination prior to upgrading, thereby mitigating risk and aligning with best practices in cryptocurrency security, cold storage, and hardware wallets hygiene.
