Endaoment Makes History with Largest-Ever ETH Sale of 3,690 Ether, Generating $12.47 Million

On January 3rd, COINOTAG reported a significant transaction in the cryptocurrency sector, revealing that the charitable organization Endaoment liquidated 3,690 ETH in a single trade, amassing approximately $12.47 million in revenue. Notably, this transaction marks Endaoment’s first sale of Ethereum in the past ten months and stands as their largest sale to date. The Ethereum sold was sourced from a participant of the Ethereum Initial Coin Offering (ICO) who originally received 100,000 ETH during the network’s inception in July 2015. As of now, the ICO participant has divested 14,990 ETH, averaging around $2,409 per token, with the majority of sales conducted through Endaoment. The participant retains a substantial holding of 85,000 ETH, distributed across two wallets, equating to an impressive valuation of approximately $2.938 billion.
