Ethereum Forms ‘DAI’ Team to Accelerate On-Chain AI, Led by Davide Crapis

According to official sources cited by COINOTAG on September 15, the Ethereum Foundation has formed a dedicated DAI team to accelerate on-chain AI infrastructure and position Ethereum as the settlement and coordination layer for the emerging machine economy. Team lead Davide Crapis, an EF research scientist, highlighted the team’s mandate to collaborate with protocol and ecosystem units to align upgrades and finance public goods that support AI builders. The initiative builds on Crapis’s leadership of ERC-8004 (Trustless Agents), an EIP that defines standards for agent discovery, on-chain identity, reputation and trustless interactions. This infrastructure-focused move targets improved developer integration and governance coordination without asserting speculative market outcomes.
