On October 4, on-chain data analyst Yujin Monitoring reported that the Ethereum Foundation’s DeFi participation multisig executed an on-chain disposition of 1,000 ETH, receiving 4.508 million DAI—an average realization of $4,508 per ETH. The transaction was recorded on-chain and reflects a measured liquidity move from the Foundation’s treasury.

Over the past three months the Foundation has realized proceeds from a cumulative 21,000 ETH divestment (approximately $72.94 million), including an OTC sale of 10,000 ETH to SharpLink on July 11 at $2,572 per ETH, a transfer of 10,000 ETH to Kraken for market execution on September 3, and the October 4 on-chain sale. The Foundation previously disclosed that proceeds are allocated for development and donation funding.
