Ethereum Fusaka May Reach Mainnet by Year‑End (Possible November) — Devs Finish Devnet‑3 Non‑Finality Tests, Plan BPO Hard Fork Analysis for Devnet‑5

The 220th Altair Core Developer Meeting reviewed an updated timeline proposal for the Fusaka upgrade, which currently aims to deploy the upgrade scheme to the Ethereum mainnet by the end of the year, with an optimistic window that could be brought forward to November. The proposal reflects coordination on governance timelines and a targeted production deployment window.

Attendees confirmed completion of a second round of non-finality testing on Fusaka Devnet-3, while noting that several technical issues and defects remain unresolved. Developers indicated that remediation and validation work will continue to address consensus and client-level test failures prior to any mainnet consideration.

Separately, the team will perform focused analysis on a Blob Parameter Only (BPO) hard fork scoped exclusively to Devnet-5 in the coming days. This analysis phase is positioned as testnet-only evaluation to inform any subsequent specification or deployment decisions.
