COINOTAG News, citing EmberCN’s on-chain monitoring, notes a whale who timed a dip-buy in ETH during the 10·11 crash and later faced retracement as prices firmed. The event highlights persistent liquidity dynamics in the crypto market and the impact of large holders on price discovery.
On the crash day, the entity deployed 22.58 million USDC to acquire 6,028 ETH at about 3,638 USD per ETH, a move that left the position vulnerable as ETH extended its decline and risked becoming trapped.
Following a rebound that approached breakeven, the trader closed the position by liquidating 6,028 ETH for 22.26 million USDC at roughly 3,587 USD per ETH, reporting a minor loss of around 320,000 USD.
