GANA Payment Hack on BNB Chain Exposes $3.1M Loss as 1,140 BNB Is Tornado-Cashed and Transferred to Ethereum (ETH)
According to COINOTAG News, on November 20 an on-chain analyst ZachXBT disclosed in his personal channel that the GANA Payment project suffered a hack on the BNB Chain, with losses topping $3.1 million.
The attacker reportedly deployed Tornado Cash to mix 1140 BNB (about $1.04 million) and bridged portions of the funds across chains to Ethereum. Of these, 346.8 ETH (≈$1.05 million) was moved into Ethereum’s Tornado Cash, while roughly 346 ETH (around $1.046 million) remains dormant in an Ethereum address awaiting further transfer.
The disclosure underscores ongoing on-chain analysis and the challenges of cross-chain activity, highlighting the importance of rigorous security controls for bridged projects and timely threat intel for market participants.
