On April 27th, COINOTAG reported that the hacker responsible for the April 2023 theft of $23 million in assets from Bitrue has once again engaged in illicit transactions. As per data from EmberCN, the attacker liquidated stolen crypto, including SHIB and HOT, a year after the breach. The hacker sold a staggering 150 billion SHIB, netting 1,090.4 ETH (approximately $1.97 million), alongside 135 million HOT, which fetched 76.5 ETH (about $0.14 million). This follows a series of asset conversions that originally included ETH, QNT, GALA, MATIC, and others, all stolen during the security incident. In March 2024, the hacker further profited by selling 4,207 ETH for 16.345 million DAI at a rate of $3,885 per ETH.
