Half of PancakeSwap July Winners Linked to Interconnected Wallets — League of Traders (LOT) Among 850 Suspected Accounts

COINOTAG (Sept 12) and a Cointelegraph investigation report that the PancakeSwap trading competition — the platform’s second such event — distributed awards from a $250,000 prize pool after participants traded five Binance Smart Chain tokens: League of Traders (LOT), Bedrock DAO (BR), MilkyWay (MILK), NodeOps (NODE) and Moonveil (MORE). On‑chain analysis indicates that of roughly 1,700 winning wallets, about half belonged to interconnected clusters, with at least 850 wallets funded by other winners via BNB transfers to meet volume thresholds. While PancakeSwap states winners were randomly selected, investigators and a League of Traders representative identified direct funding links that challenge the claim of pure randomness. The findings underscore concerns about contest integrity and the need for enhanced on‑chain transparency and controls on the Binance Smart Chain.
