According to Louisiana Treasurer John Fleming, residents now have the option to pay for various state-related services using Bitcoin, the Bitcoin Lightning Network, and USDC. Notably, the first transaction utilizing cryptocurrency was recorded when the Wildlife and Fisheries Department processed a payment through the Bitcoin Lightning Network to settle a fine.
