COINOTAG News reports that on May 24th, Polygon co-founder Mihailo Bjelic has officially announced his exit from project development and resignation from the foundation’s board, according to The Block. Bjelic conveyed on the social platform X that as Polygon matured, a divergence in vision prompted his decision to reduce his role in daily operations. However, he emphasized that he intends to continue supporting Polygon’s growth through alternative avenues. As one of the original four co-founders of Polygon, which was known as Matic Network prior to its rebranding in 2017, Bjelic’s departure signifies a pivotal moment, marking the exit of the project’s third co-founder. Notably, in 2023, the other two co-founders, Jaynti Kanani and Anurag Arjun, also stepped away from their roles, raising questions about the future leadership and direction of this influential blockchain ecosystem.
