Reliance Jio Launches JioCoin on Aptos Network for 485 Million Indian Users in Beta Rewards Program

In a strategic move announced at the Aptos Experience, Reliance Jio has partnered with the Aptos Foundation to pilot a blockchain-based user rewards program that will introduce tokenized incentives to its estimated 485 million subscribers. The initiative plans to issue a rewards token, JioCoin, on the Aptos network to remunerate users for content consumption and in-app engagement; officials confirm the token remains in beta, has not been minted and is limited to a regional India pilot. The collaboration reinforces Aptos’s role as enterprise-grade infrastructure for mainstream on-chain consumer applications and offers a controlled framework for token issuance, user engagement metrics and compliance-focused deployment.
