Solana (SOL) Investor Turns 1 Million SOL into $26.7 Million HYPE, Cashes Out $15.68 Million in HYPE, and Rebuys 81,100 SOL Cross‑Chain

According to on-chain data analyst Yu Jin, an institutional holder assigned 1 million SOL in June 2020 recently rebalanced its position. At year-end 2024, the entity divested a portion of SOL for 2.52 million HYPE, signaling a strategic rotation into the newer token.

After a 10‑month horizon, the address took profits by unloading 15.68 million HYPE and returning to SOL. HYPE gains peaked near $26.7 million. In December 2024, after HYPE‘s listing, they sold about 375,000 SOL at $191, swapped into roughly $70 million USDC, and bought 2.52 million HYPE at $27.70. Ten months later, they sold 408,900 HYPE at $38.30 (≈$15.68 million) and cross-chained back to SOL to acquire 81,100 SOL at $193.

These actions illustrate disciplined, data-driven rebalancing between SOL and the HYPE token, with cross-chain liquidity moves and USDC settlements shaping near-term risk and liquidity dynamics in the Solana ecosystem.
