COINOTAG News (Aug 21) reports, citing Cryptopolitan, that Toyota‘s blockchain lab has selected the Avalanche network to develop an on-chain vehicle finance prototype. The initiative formalizes a collaboration to evaluate distributed-ledger infrastructure for automotive finance workflows.
The prototype will specifically explore tokenized ownership models, digital leasing arrangements and instant transfers via smart contracts, with an emphasis on settlement speed, transaction finality and custody arrangements for tokenized assets.
Planned assessments will focus on operational metrics relevant to institutional deployment—scalability, compliance and liquidity on secondary markets—while maintaining attention to data protection and regulatory alignment as the lab tests practical use cases.
