JPMorgan 2026 Family Offices Report: AI Dominant Theme

According to JPMorgan Private Bank's 2026 Global Family Office Report, artificial intelligence stands out as the dominant investment theme for the world's largest family offices, while cryptocurrencies receive limited interest. In a survey conducted between May-July 2025 with 333 single-family offices in 30 countries, 65% of participants prioritize AI investments now or in the future. In contrast, only 17% see crypto and digital assets as a main investment theme. 89% of family offices have no crypto exposure, with the global average allocation remaining at 0.4%; BTC detailed analysis exposure is on average 0.2%.

Family offices are also distant from traditional hedging instruments; 72% report zero exposure to them. Private equity is indicated as the preferred asset class by 37% of those planning allocation increases in the next 12-18 months. Growth capital and venture capital are also attracting interest for access to AI innovation. The biggest risk is geopolitical factors at 20%, followed by liquidity and trade policy at 12%. In Asia, however, crypto exposure is trending upwards.
