Shiba Inu‘s lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, recently shared exciting developments about a new service that will be part of the Shibairum project, a layer-2 (L2) blockchain project within the Shiba Inu ecosystem. In a blog post titled “Shibarium Zoomed Out: Shibacals and More,” Kusama discussed the Shibacals NFT service and the comprehensive ecosystem guide called “Worldpaper.”
NFTs Come to Life: Shibacals
The newly announced Shibacals service aims to create a system for digitally verifying physical objects. By using NFC chips, it will be possible to authenticate the reality of physical products and document their ownership. This step expands the concept of verifiable ownership and scarcity offered by NFTs to physical objects, providing a solution that bridges the digital and physical worlds.
The Shibacals team will collaborate with Champion Apparel to create Shiba Inu products. These products will be authenticated using Shibacals’ NFC chips and Authentication Tags.
