Robert Kennedy Jr. Reveals His Presence in Bitcoin
Democratic US presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. did not hesitate to discuss controversial topics and express views that do not align with mainstream narratives. One of these topics is Bitcoin (BTC). Kennedy confessed to being a Bitcoin wallet owner, denying his previous statement, during the Miami conference. He said he bought 2 Bitcoins for each of his 7 children using the money he received from the Monsanto case.
The presidential candidate confirmed this during a Twitter Spaces conversation with Scott Melker, a popular trader and podcast host. Kennedy discussed in detail the ability of crypto investments to rescue the poor from poverty.
According to him, Bitcoin offers small investors a censorship-resistant and freedom-giving, inflation-resistant currency that is not dependent on the mercy of the system, unlike holding fiat currencies.
The 69-year-old presidential candidate said, “I decided to put my money where my mouth is and bought 2 Bitcoins for each of my seven children” immediately after the Miami Bitcoin conference held this year in May.
Kennedy Becomes the First Presidential Candidate to Accept Bitcoin Donations
Kennedy became the first presidential candidate to announce that he will accept Bitcoin donations in May 2023, making history. However, he stated that he did not expose the entertainment enthusiasts in Miami to the classic cryptocurrency and that his confirmation of its existence is not an investment advice. Fortunately, a financial document obtained showed that Kennedy has up to $250,000 worth of Bitcoin.
RFK Jr. recently unveiled a bold plan to support the US dollar with Bitcoin and exempt BTC from capital gains tax. Kennedy is part of a crypto-friendly hopeful team that includes other presidential candidates such as Republican Senator Ted Cruz and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
