Binance Exchange Announces Pairs for Altcoins
On Wednesday, the world’s largest crypto exchange, Binance, announced that it would list USDC pairs for a range of cryptocurrencies on Binance Spot. Binance plans to add new spot trading pairs for significant cryptos such as Solana (SOL), XRP, Cardano (ADA), Avalanche (AVAX), Polkadot (DOT), and Polygon (MATIC). Users can start trading these new spot pairs on December 28.
On December 27, in an official announcement, Binance revealed new spot trading pairs against Circle’s USD Coin (USDC). This move coincides with the exchange’s goal of discontinuing BUSD support and expanding its support for various stablecoins.
Binance will list major crypto spot pairs such as ADA/USDC, ARB/USDC, AVAX/USDC, DOT/USDC, INJ/USDC, MATIC/USDC, OP/USDC, ORDI/USDC, SOL/USDC, and XRP/USDC. The crypto exchange is starting with the most popular coins in the market, which currently have significant trading activity.
In October, Binance announced its support for the native USDC stablecoin on the Polygon blockchain network. The exchange also stated that it would soon enable deposits and withdrawals for USDC. In mid-2022, Binance announced it would discontinue its support for various stablecoins, including USDC. Instead, the top exchange would prefer its own token, BUSD, for stablecoin-based transactions. However, regulatory challenges for BUSD by the SEC forced Binance to discontinue BUSD support.
Earlier, COINOTAG reported that Binance added cross-margin pairs such as ADA/FDUSD, AEUR/USDT, AVAX/FDUSD, DIA/USDT, DOGE/FDUSD, IOTX/ETH, LINK/FDUSD, MATIC/FDUSD, OM/USDT, and POLS/USDT.
