Francis Suarez Runs for US Presidency
Miami Mayor Francis Suarez joined the Republican presidential candidates for the 2024 US Presidential elections. The 45-year-old Suarez officially submitted his documents on Wednesday, just one day after being tried in downtown Miami on charges of secretly collecting documents at former President Donald Trump’s property in Palm Beach County.
Suarez is running as a candidate from Florida, following Trump and Governor Ron DeSantis. Miami voters have elected Suarez, the son of the city’s first Cuban-American mayor, twice, and he has played a significant role politically in this important region, which is the nation’s third-largest state.
Suarez serves as the mayor of Miami, a city with a population of 450,000. While Suarez has praised the city’s low crime rate and economic successes, he has recently been dealing with news alleging that he held himself accountable for securing approvals for a city project while also securing permits for a stalled real estate project.
Another upcoming challenge for Suarez is whether he can raise enough money from supporters to participate in the Republican debates planned for the summer months. Suarez also admitted that he did not vote for Trump in the 2016 and 2020 elections but has made more positive statements about Trump recently.
Chapin Fay, spokesperson for SOS America PAC, said in a statement, “America needs conservative Mayor Francis Suarez for the Presidency. In this period when we face national police-antagonistic and crime-friendly Democratic leaderships like Baltimore, Portland, and New York City, the achievements of first-generation American Mayor Suarez emphasize the necessity of his approach being embraced nationwide immediately.”
Suarez is scheduled to speak at the Reagan Library in California on Thursday evening.

I thank everyone on the Miami City Commission. Our city is now embracing the future.”
Attending the Bitcoin Miami event held in Miami on April 6, 2022, Suarez said the following;
“Our next US presidential candidate should be a candidate who supports Bitcoin. We need to integrate Bitcoin into all aspects of life. For example, we should be able to buy a candy bar with satoshis.”
Francis Suarez, who has openly expressed his interest in Bitcoin for many years, has taken action to run for the US presidency in 2024. Although he has won the love of the crypto community, he is not the only candidate supporting Bitcoin.
