According to CME FedWatch data, markets are pricing in a 25 basis-point Fed rate cut in December, with an 86.2% probability for the move and a 13.8% probability of holding the policy rate.

The Federal Reserve will announce its policy decision covering the period through December 10 on December 11 at 3:00 p.m. Beijing time, with the target rate seen at 3.75%, down from the prior 4.00%. Following the decision, Powell will hold a monetary policy press conference at 3:30 p.m. to discuss the committee’s stance and outlook.
