ETH-Based DerivaDEX Receives T License from BMA
DerivaDEX has launched its crypto derivatives platform as the first DAO-managed decentralized exchange by obtaining a T license from the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA). The platform has begun offering crypto perpetual swap transactions to a limited number of advanced retail and institutional participants. The BMA's T license is granted for digital asset businesses to test proof-of-concept.
At launch, major crypto perpetual products are supported, and the platform plans to expand to prediction markets and traditional securities. The system developed by DEXLabs combines offchain order matching with onchain settlement on Ethereum; users control their funds non-custodially. Encrypted order processing and trusted execution environments aim to prevent front-running and market manipulation.
ETH Institutional Developments and BlackRock Move
This launch reflects the interest of traditional asset managers in DeFi infrastructure: BlackRock made its BUIDL tokenized fund available on Uniswap via ETH detailed analysis and purchased UNI tokens. Apollo Global Management made an agreement to acquire 9% of Morpho protocol's governance tokens. In recent news, BlackRock applied to receive 18% of staking fees from a new staked Ethereum ETF, accelerating institutional inflows into the ETH ecosystem.
