Polygon’s Major Partnerships
Polygon has formed partnerships with major brands such as Starbucks, Reddit, and Nike in the past year to integrate Web3 technology. In April, it collaborated with Mastercard to launch a Web3 music accelerator program aimed at providing educational tools and mentorship to promising artists.
WMG has also continued its blockchain expansion in recent months. It collaborated with blockchain gaming company Splinterlands to develop play-to-earn (P2E) games for its roster of artists and launched a music-themed amusement park on The Sandbox metaverse platform. In October, the company posted a call for a senior director of metaverse development on LinkedIn.
In December, WMG and Polygon released a series of music NFTs on the LGND NFT marketplace.
