Bitcoin supporter presidential candidate Javier Milei won the second round of the Argentine presidential election, surpassing his rival Sergio Massa. Many Bitcoin supporters, including Michael Saylor of MicroStrategy, Arthur Hayes of BitMEX, and Elon Musk, congratulated Milei on his victory. Max Keiser, Bitcoin advisor to El Salvador President Nayib Bukele, stated that the team would go to Argentina to discuss Bitcoin goals with Javier Milei.

Max Keiser conveyed a request on November 20 for an official visit by El Salvador President Nayib Bukele’s Bitcoin team to Argentina. He added that the team would invite Argentina’s new President, Javier Milei, to “host him at the Presidential Palace in El Salvador and discuss Bitcoin.”

In his next post, Max Keiser announced that President Nayib Bukele had approved the Bitcoin Team’s visit to Argentina for a Bitcoin diplomatic mission with a mission of peace and economic freedom. El Salvador has already adopted Bitcoin as a legal tender and freed its people from the authority of central banks. The Latin American region seems to be the first place where Bitcoin is being adopted on a national scale.

Argentina’s new President, Javier Milei, has openly criticized the country’s central bank, condemning it as a fraud and a mechanism “used by politicians to entice the public with inflation.” He also sees Bitcoin as a movement to “return money to its original creator, the private sector.”

Bitcoin Rose by 3% After Javier Milei’s Victory

After Javier Milei’s election as Argentina’s new President, BTC price rose by 3% to surpass $37,000. The price is currently trading at $37,080, with the 24-hour high at $37,509.

With nearly 99% of the votes counted, Milei secured a significant lead, obtaining over 55% of the votes, with an almost 3 million vote difference. Max Keiser stated that Milei’s victory could initiate a rally towards $40,000. Trading volume increased after the major event, signaling further upward movement in BTC price.
