On September 24, during a hearing convened by the House Financial Services Committee, Gary Gensler, the chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), articulated a “neutral” stance towards blockchain technology, according to a report by FOX Business reporter Eleanor Terrett. Gensler emphasized that merely incorporating an element into a blockchain ledger does not alter its economic reality. He stressed, “The core issue is whether it constitutes a sound investment. We remain impartial on the technology itself.”
