Binance Compliance Director Tigran Gambaryan’s Court Trial Postponed Amid Health Concerns

On October 18, COINOTAG reported that the Compliance Director of Binance, Tigran Gambaryan, was unable to attend a scheduled court hearing in Nigeria due to a serious health condition. Consequently, the court has postponed the proceedings for several months. Gambaryan’s attorney, Mark Mordi, requested a recess to assess his client’s medical situation, leading the judge to reschedule the trial for October 25.

Since February, Gambaryan has been detained in Nigeria, where his attempts to secure bail on health grounds were recently denied. This verdict came shortly after it was revealed that he requires surgical intervention, with his health declining since mid-July. During his incarceration, he has reportedly suffered several ailments, including malaria, pneumonia, and tonsillitis, in addition to complications arising from a herniated disc.
