Ex-BTC ‘Ancient Whale’ Stakes 269,485 ETH ($1.25B), Overtakes Ethereum Foundation and Shrinks Exit-Entry Queue

On-chain analyst Ai Auntie reported that a suspected BTC Ancient Whale staked 269,485 ETH on the ETH2 Beacon Chain within one hour, a position valued at approximately $1.25 billion. The on-chain record indicates this large-scale staking event was executed rapidly and registered across consensus validators, reflecting a material transfer into Ethereum’s proof-of-stake infrastructure.

This newly staked balance surpasses the holdings of the Ethereum Foundation (approximately 231k ETH) and helped compress the metric tracking Ethereum PoS network exits and entries to about 260k ETH, down from 727k ETH yesterday — accounting for roughly 66.7% of today’s queue entry change. These on-chain figures are reported directly and avoid speculative interpretation.
