Ethereum Foundation Partners with Keyring Network to Launch zkVerified Vault Donating Fees to Tornado Cash Developers’ Legal Defense Fund

COINOTAG News (October 10) reports the Ethereum Foundation Grants Team has partnered with Keyring Network to introduce a targeted funding mechanism supporting privacy developers. The collaboration deployed a zkVerified permissioned vault on the Keyring mainnet to enable compliant, privacy-preserving access to DeFi lending markets while capturing protocol fees. Under the initiative, all fees from the Keyring zkVerified vault will be donated for the first two months to the legal defense fund of Roman Storm and Alexey Pertsev, two Tornado Cash developers currently facing trial over the release of open-source code. The Foundation framed the approach as a mechanism for early adopters of the vault to directly channel on-chain economic support to the legal defense of privacy-focused contributors.
