BNB Chain’s ReachMe Shuts Down Its Paid Chat Service, Ending All Operations After 0.8 BNB Price Cut

COINOTAG News reports that on October 23 the BNB Chain ecosystem’s chat service ReachMe has ceased operations, with all functions permanently shut down. In line with its privacy policy, user data has been securely processed, and no further message delivery or on-chain transactions are possible.

Historically, CZ, the founder of Binance, used ReachMe for private messages; each message carried a fee of 1 BNB. On April 8, the rate was reduced to 0.8 BNB, marking a policy adjustment in the platform’s pricing structure.

The shutdown underscores risk management considerations for on-chain messaging and data retention in crypto infrastructure, reinforcing the need for clear governance and user protections. Crypto market participants should monitor such lifecycle events as part of broader crypto news and risk assessment.
