The Arbitrum Foundation has officially unveiled its “Road to Devcon” initiative as of October 7, strategically pivoting its efforts towards the burgeoning Asian market. This shift underscores the Foundation’s recognition of the region’s dynamic growth in both developer participation and retail cryptocurrency adoption. To capitalize on this momentum, Arbitrum has initiated a comprehensive three-fold strategy aimed at enhancing community engagement ahead of the upcoming Devcon in Bangkok in 2024.
This strategic plan includes ArbiLink, a series of in-person events slated for Vietnam and Indonesia, designed to foster connections with local developers, whose numbers have surged by approximately 31% and 34% year-on-year, according to Github statistics. Concurrently, the “Step Into Arbitrum” program will enable participants to engage with the Arbitrum SDK through a structured learning and rewards framework, encouraging practical application and innovation within the ecosystem.
Furthermore, the Foundation’s recent Asia tour included significant events such as the inaugural Arbitrum Night in Tokyo, which featured 15 interactive games and NFT projects, as well as exhibitions during Korea Blockchain Week. The campaign also highlighted the inaugural ArbiVerse event at the ArtScience Museum in Singapore, showcasing partnerships with leading names like Ubisoft and Azuki, further reinforcing Arbitrum’s commitment to fostering a collaborative and thriving blockchain community in Asia.
