COINOTAG News, December 11 — The Gelephu Mindfulness City Authority (GMCA) has appointed Matrixdock, the RWA platform under Matrixport, as the core tokenization technology partner for the forthcoming gold-backed token TER. Matrixdock will build the underlying tokenization framework and apply its institutional-grade RWA infrastructure expertise to support a verifiable, transparent, and digitally native financial system. This step positions Matrixdock among early technology providers in a national-level RWA deployment. The sovereign-level gold stablecoin pilot aims to anchor Bhutan’s digital financial architecture and set a benchmark for industry standardization.

Within this national RWA push, pilots are expected to shape market standards, technical blueprints, and governance models, creating a credible pricing system benchmark for the sector. Matrixport CEO John Ge noted that the Bhutan license underpins its regional expansion and reinforces a commitment to support GMC’s technology roadmap, illustrating the ability to align global innovation with sovereign digital finance needs.
