Florida prosecutors disclosed a successful digital asset seizure totaling about $1.5 million tied to a cryptocurrency fraud case involving Chinese national Tu Weizhi.

A July 2024 report by an Orange County resident documented a $47,000 investment-fraud loss. Investigators traced the funds to a wallet tied to the case, which held AVAX, DOGE, PEPE, and SOL.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said authorities invoked Florida’s fugitive disentitlement framework to secure the assets.

The suspect remains in China and would be arrested upon entry into the United States.
