Important BNB Chain Update: BEP2 Tokens Withdrawal and Deposit Deadlines Ahead of November 2024 Shutdown

In a pivotal announcement, the BNB Chain team has confirmed plans to deactivate the BNB Beacon Chain (BEP2) on November 19, 2024, at 14:00 (UTC+8). This strategic decision aims to streamline operations and enhance user experience across the platform. Following this timeline, Binance will halt all withdrawal requests for BEP2 tokens starting at 08:00 (UTC+8) on November 1, 2024. Moreover, deposit requests for these tokens (excluding Binance pegged tokens, or B tokens) will cease at 16:00 (UTC+8) on the same month.

To mitigate disruptions, Binance urges users to deposit BEP2 B tokens into their accounts prior to the network’s complete shutdown. The deadline for this action coincides with the deactivation date. Notably, deposited B tokens can be withdrawn via their native network or through other networks that Binance supports, thus ensuring continued access to assets even after the decommissioning of the BEP2 chain.
