JPEX Fraud Case in Hong Kong: 8 Defendants Charged Over Virtual Assets, Retrial Set for March 16, 2026; 7 Granted Bail
According to the Hong Kong Economic Daily, a fresh development has emerged in the ongoing JPEX fraud case, as eight defendants face multiple charges and a retrial is scheduled for March 16, 2026.
The eight defendants include former TVB actor Zheng Junxi (31), Siu Wing-him (28), Lam Zuo (35), internet personality Chen Yingyi (38), Au Chak-ki (31), Chiu King-yin (25), YouTuber Leung Kei-cheung, known as “Xiang Xiang” (31), and Ho Ki-man (28).
The charges encompass conspiracy to defraud, fraud, inducing others to invest in virtual assets, and dealing with property believed to represent proceeds of an indictable offense.
With the exception of Zheng Junxi, the remaining seven defendants were granted bail under the original conditions, including travel restrictions and surrender of travel documents while remaining in Hong Kong.
