Keplr Wallet Secures $5 Million in Seed Funding to Strengthen Its Position as Leading Cosmos Wallet

COINOTAG reported on January 23rd that the cryptocurrency wallet Keplr has successfully raised $5 million in seed funding, valuing the company at approximately $50 million. This funding round was spearheaded by 1confirmation, with notable investments from Coinbase Ventures, HashKey Capital, Chorus One Ventures, Skip Protocol, and Binary Builders, among others. Co-founder Josh Lee noted that the equity financing was finalized at the end of the previous year.

Launched in 2021, Keplr initially targeted the Cosmos ecosystem, and has weathered challenges such as the prominent Terra incident. Despite this, Keplr now boasts over 2 million users, affirming its position as the leading wallet in the Cosmos network. In August 2022, the platform expanded its capabilities by adding support for EVM chains, enabling users to manage Ethereum assets seamlessly within the wallet. As of now, Keplr has no intention of launching a native token.
