Pixiu Tokens Abound: ERC20 Honeypots Detected on GMGN, DEXTools, and DEX Screener

On September 25, COINOTAG reported that Twitter user @roffett_eth raised concerns about the prevalence of ERC20 honeypot tokens appearing on the trend list of the GMGN website. Despite being labeled as “Everything is SAFU,” users should remain cautious as scammers have not fully executed their rug-pull schemes. SlowMist founder Yu Xian acknowledged the report, stating that it is accurate and clarifying that these deceptive tokens are also present on platforms like DEXTools and DEX Screener. According to Xian, the hidden Pixiu disk is difficult for third-party security tools to detect. However, astute users can effectively use code inspection tools like Claude or GPT to identify these malicious tokens.
