Securitize Secures EU DLT Pilot Regime License to Issue Tokenized Securities, Deploys on Avalanche for 2026 Issuance
In a landmark advancement for institutional tokenization, Securitize has secured authorization under the EU DLT Pilot Regime, enabling a regulated tokenization trading and settlement system to operate within the European Union. The license, granted by Spain’s CNMV, authorizes the issuance, trading, and settlement of tokenized securities at the market-infrastructure level and supports cross-border interoperability with its US ecosystem.
According to The Block, this approval positions Securitize to interoperate with its US-based broker-dealer, digital transfer agent, and alternative trading system business, advancing a cohesive, compliant framework for cross-jurisdictional tokenization and settlement across the Atlantic.
The European system will run on Avalanche, with the inaugural issuance anticipated in Q1 2026, signaling a material step for regulated digital assets and market infrastructure alignment in the EU.
